I fell in love with Bikram Yoga after taking my first class August 2005. I’ve always been pretty athletic, loved to run, I played soccer in high school. I really loved a challenge, (still do!) so Bikram Yoga was right up my alley.
After practicing for a year, I decided to go to teacher training in the fall of 2006. May 2008, my husband and I opened our first studio in St. Charles. Then in December 2013, opened our second studio in Palatine.
It was a lot of hard work, but totally worth it. During this time I competed twice in the Illinois Yoga Asana Championships, once in 2010, and then again in 2011, which was a very humbling experience.
Practicing and teaching yoga has taught me patience, awareness, acceptance, gratitude, letting go, not to take anything for granted, and that it’s all about the journey, not the destination!
I teach Bikram, Power, Yin, and Inferno Hot Pilates. I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Health Coach, and a Board Certified Naturopath. During my free time, I love spending time with my family, husband Doug, my daughter Nora, and our pup Brindle.
