My journey to Bent Dog Yoga started when I was in college and was suffering from a compressed spine and serious concussion as a result of a diving accident. I was home over winter break and a friend invited me to attend Bikram yoga with her. I immediately experienced relief after class, but more importantly I felt hopeful for the first time that my body could and would recover.
Fast forward to post-college life and I was beginning my career as a science teacher in the tri-cities when a friend invited me to attend a class with her over our long weekend. I signed up for the two week intro at Bent Dog Yoga and never looked back. While I felt benefits with each class I took, I immediately fell in love with Hot Pilates. I had never taken a class like it, and I was addicted to everything about the class from the sweating to the post workout high I felt. I was getting the high intensity that I desired while also benefiting from the low impact that my body needs since my injury.
I attended the Inferno Hot Pilates teacher training with guru Gabriella Walters in Las Vegas during May of 2016 and have had the honor of teaching class ever since. I love working at Bent Dog and I always strive to push and motivate my students and myself to try new things and achieve new goals! When not at the studio I am enjoying an active life as a teacher, coach, avid horseback rider, and baker with the biggest sweet tooth!
