I first discovered yoga 10 years ago at the old Bent Dog location and loved it. I continued to practice in Chicago while pursuing my undergraduate degree in Biology, and after moving back to the suburbs, I came back to Bent Dog and fell in love all over again! I became serious with my practice when I began my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in Milwaukee and realized all the amazing physical, mental, and spiritual benefits yoga provides.
As my knowledge into anatomy and physiology grew, my passion for yoga and bringing this wonderful form of mental and physical exercise to the world expanded. I gained so much insight into the history and culture of yoga through my teacher training, and met forever yogi friends. My style of teaching will incorporate principles of mindfulness and strength- focusing on connecting mind, body, and spirit through the power of breathing. I hope to touch the lives and souls of others through both my career as an OT and a yoga teacher, and can’t wait to begin my teaching journey at Bent Dog.
